Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse producers have teased that fans should be ready for some «mind-boggling» new art in the upcoming two-part sequel. The last few years for Spider-Man in media have been some of the character's greatest ones yet. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse was not only Miles' big introduction to theater audiences, but the film served as a vehicle to help establish Marvel's beloved Spider-Verse concept. As Miles becomes the next web-slinger in this world, he also shared the screen with other Spider-People across the multiverse. The film's massive success prompted Sony to begin fleshing out the new franchise, including plans for a Spider-Woman spinoff project. The plans for the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse sequel got so big that Sony ended up splitting it into two parts, with Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (Part 1) hitting theaters this fall.
