Actor Tom Holland has revealed that following Uncharted, his next dream video game adaptation would be a live-action take on Jak and Daxter. Speaking with GameSpot in advance of Uncharted's theatrical release on February 18, Holland says he has an image in his mind for how to execute this potential next project.
«I would like to make a Jak and Daxter movie, and I would play Jak,» Holland said. «I would make it at A24, so it was really weird and like dark… I would do like a really weird, live-action version of Jak and Daxter.»

The dream collaboration would see Holland team up with Sony and Naughty Dog again--which should be an easy sell if Uncharted performs well, since it would be the same principal players again. However, A24 would be a pretty drastic contrast from the massive Sony Pictures, as the independent production company behind films including Lady Bird, The Disaster Artist, The Green Knight isn't exactly known for adapting video games. But as film or TV adaptations of video games are increasingly becoming a successful and viable trend, anything is possible--especially since Sony and Naughty Dog also have its toes in the water with HBO's The Last of Us.
In December, Jak and Daxter marked its 20th anniversary. The gaming franchise is built on titles featuring a mix of action, racing, puzzle-solving, while executing story-based platforming in imaginative levels.
