October 29th has a new word ready to be solved. This particular word could be a bit difficult for some players. Luckily there aren't any of the normal difficulty tricks that utilizes, no double letters or regional spellings, just a solid tough word.
For those that prefer more of a challenge though there is always the copycat Quordle which forces players to solve 4 different puzzles simultaneously. Every guess given reacts to each Wordle grid and you must balance what you're guessing vs which box you're playing in. This can be quite a fun diversion from the normal puzzle.

The October 29th answer is PHONY.
For our starting word today we used one of our go-to beginning words, POUND. This worked out nicely for us since it had two letters in the correct positions with 'P' and 'N' and one misplaced 'O' for a vowel. Moving forward it seemed like the obvious answer would be PHONE, which was our second guess. As the green letters began to flip we thought we had this one in the bag but then the last letter stayed gray prompting a suprise.
Thinking it through for a bit we thought perhaps the vowel was duplicated so we tried PHONO. This proved to be incorrect and left us puzzled for a bit.
