In TMNT: Shredder's Revenge, Groundchuck, an iconic villain from the original television series, is one of the bosses that the half-shell heroes and their allies will need to defeat. Alongside Dirtbag, Groundchuck is a bull that was affected by a mutagen in order to become the humanoid-bovine that serves as one of Shredder's many lead henchmen. In TMNT: Shredder's Revenge, Groundchuck will attack the turtles will all sorts of vicious moves that callback to the character's origins, making him one of the best villains to face just for the nostalgia alone.

Groundchuck is one of the two bosses that the TMNT will face in Shredder's Revenge at the end of Episode 4, «Rumble in the Zoo.» As the half-shell heroes defeat Foot Soldiers and jam out to the TMNT: Shredder's Revenge soundtrack in Episode 4, there are additional challenges for players to complete. Specifically, in «Rumble in the Zoo,» there are three optional challenges that the TMNT and their allies can complete to increase the difficulty of Episode 4. The first is to complete the level without getting hurt more than four times from obstacles, the second is to defeat three Foot Soldiers by using fling slams, and the third optional challenge is to finish the level without getting grabbed more than five times.
