American actor Gregory Joseph Connors may be the voice of Jason, one of the two protagonists of Grand Theft Auto 6. While the evidence pointing to that possibility is inconclusive, Game Rant has discovered that Connors's involvement in GTA 6 is much more of a certainty.
The question of who will play the lead roles in the next mainline Grand Theft Auto game has been the subject of rampant fan speculation for years. As far as the game's male protagonist is concerned, one long-standing theory was that the GTA 6 role of Jason went to Bryan Zampella. The actor himself was happy to stoke those rumors with frequent social media posts reminiscent of Vice City imagery. But evidence suggesting Zampella's involvement in the much-anticipated game has always been shaky, at best.
Another potential candidate for the role of Jason is Gregory Connors, a New York-based stage and screen actor with over a decade of industry experience. According to Connors's resume reviewed by Game Rant, the 37-year-old has landed a «lead» voice-over role in a Rockstar Games project planned to hit the market in 2025. The only announced game matching that release window is Grand Theft Auto 6.
The description of Connors's involvement in the game doesn't necessarily guarantee that he is the one playing Jason. Although Grand Theft Auto 6 will ostensibly have only one male protagonist that he could portray, Connors may as well have been cast in the role of the game's main antagonist. While Rockstar has yet to share any details about the upcoming game's villains, the developer's track record suggests that at least one of them will receive enough screen time to be classified as a lead role, much like Samuel L. Jackson's Officer Tenpenny from GTA: San Andreas.
