During the season 2 Love is Blind reunion show, Netflix released a trailer for its new dating show called The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On. Co-hosted by Nick Lachey and his wife Vanessa, this new reality show stars six couples who are at an impasse in their relationship. One partner is ready for marriage, while the other is more reluctant. However, now there’s an ultimatum at stake.
If they don’t get engaged, the couple will split for good. In order to ensure they make the right decision, they’ve joined The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On experiment, created by the producers of Netflix's Love is Blind. For three weeks, these couples will separate and choose a member of the opposite sex from one of the other couples to live with. At the end of their time, they must decide if they will marry their current partner. Or if they will move on, either by themselves or with someone new from the experiment.

Netflix’s The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On trailer began by introducing several couples as they shared whether they wanted to get married. There appears to be a mixture of both men and women unprepared for marriage, as the first co-star was a woman explaining her biggest fear. “The only thing scarier than losing you right now would be to marry you,” is what one contestant told her boyfriend, and the shocking moments Love is Blind viewers are used to only continued to escalate. After introducing the other couples and revealing their reluctance for marriage, the trailer unveiled jealous glares, fits of anger, and regret.
