Jujutsu Kaisen 0 Trailer Teases Action And A Cursed Romance

The latest trailer for Jujutsu Kaisen 0 has been released, focusing on the tragic relationship between young sorcerer Yuta Okkotsu and Rika Orimoto. The film is based on the dark fantasy shonen manga written by Gege Akutami and animated by MAPPA. The single-volume story is a prequel to Akutami's ongoing series, Jujutsu Kaisen.

Taking place before Yuji Itadori (Junya Enoki) unknowingly ate one of the twenty fingers of Ryomen Sukuna (Junichi Suwabe) in the 2020 anime series, Jujutsu Kaisen 0 follows Yuta Okkotsu (Megumi Ogata), who is haunted by the cursed spirit of his late childhood sweetheart Rika Orimoto (Kana Hanazawa). Rika violently defends Yuta from his bullies, leading to the young man being taken in by Satoru Gojo (Yūichi Nakamura). Gojo places Yuta in the Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High School to learn to control Rika, while the cursed spirit is targeted by enemy sorcerer Suguru Geto (Takahiro Sakurai). Ahead of the film's U.S release on March 18th, a new trailer has been released that focuses on Yuta and Rika.

Uploaded to YouTube by the Crunchyroll Collection channel, the latest trailer focuses on the tragic relationship between Yuta and Rika. The trailer features scenes depicting the pair's happier childhood before Rika's untimely death, as well as her cursed spirit attaching itself to Yuta. Following this, the trailer gives glimpses into Yuta's induction into Tokyo Prefectural High School by Gojo, as well as his interactions with the younger fan-favorite second-year trio, Maki Zen'in (Mikako Komatsu), Toge Inumaki (Kōki Uchiyama), and Panda (Tomokazu Seki). The trailer concludes by teasing Yuta's battle with Geto, and his mastery
