The highly-anticipated expansion content for Cyberpunk 2077 is still well on its way, according to a recent statement from developer CD Projekt Red. Since its disastrous 2020 release, Cyberpunk 2077 has gotten several updates that have fixed its multitudinous glitches and performance problems, with many gamers considering the open-world sci-fi RPG to be in a significantly better state at present.
Even those with the most cursory knowledge of the games industry are likely aware of the controversy surrounding Cyberpunk 2077. The game was perhaps the most hyped-up release of all time, with a sky-high marketing budget and colossal expectations set by CD Projekt Red. Gamers were more than willing to accept the promise of a true next-generation gaming experience from the renowned The Witcher studio, which is why so many players were disappointed and frustrated with how the game ultimately turned out. While the most obvious shortcomings came in the form of Cyberpunk's technical state, there were several players who felt that the game underdelivered in other areas as well, as many of the lofty promises made by its developers went undelivered even after huge patches for Cyberpunk 2077.

Quest director Pawel Sasko recently made a statement that could reassure any fans slipping back into Cyberpunk 2077 pessimism. As reported by Push Square, Sasko noted in a livestream that the team is reviewing and polishing new quest content "literally daily," making it clear that DLC is still in the pipeline and being taken seriously. Unfortunately, Pawel also stated that he could not divulge any specifics regarding these forthcoming expansions.
