Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has officially set digital, 4K, Blu-ray, and DVD release dates for its newest installment to the blockbuster Conjuring franchise. The home video release comes after less than a month since the Taissa Farmiga-led horror sequel had made its theatrical debut.
The Nun 2 will be available to rent or purchase on October 3, on digital and on PVOD on participating digital platforms such as Amazon Prime Video, Google Play, Vudu, and more. It will then be followed by its home video release on 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD on November 14. Its Premium Digital Ownership, 4K UHD and Blu-ray will also include bonus features including two featurettes titled “Demons in Paradise,” and “Handcrafte Nightmares.”
“1956 – France. A priest is murdered. An evil is spreading. The sequel to the worldwide smash hit follows Sister Irene as she once again comes face-to-face with Valak, the demon nun,” reads the synopsis.
The Nun 2 was directed by Michael Chaves (The Curse of La Llorona, The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It) from a screenplay written by Richard Naing and Ian Goldberg, based on Akela Cooper’s latest draft. Joining Farmiga in the horror sequel are Jonas Bloquet, Storm Reid, Anna Popplewell, and Katelyn Rose Downey, with Bonnie Aarons as Valak.
