As the name suggests, Werewolf By Night in Color is the colorized version of the black-and-white TV special that originally began streaming on Disney Plus on October 7, 2022. It has the distinction of being the first Marvel Studios Special Presentation and is part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Here’s when the show is coming out on Disney Plus.
The story revolves around Jack Russell, a monster hunter with a secret, who arrives at the home of the late Ulysses Bloodstone along with four others of his profession on the invite of Ulysses’ widow, Verussa, to ascertain the next leader of the group and the wielder of the powerful Bloodstone. She declares that the next leader has to prove themselves by winning a competitive hunt among the hopefuls. Ulysses’ daughter Elsa also joins the hunt.
The TV special was directed by Michael Giacchino, and the teleplay was written by Heather Quinn and Peter Cameron from a story by Quinn. The cast includes Gael García Bernal as Jack Russell / Werewolf by Night, Laura Donnelly as Elsa Bloodstone, Harriet Sansom Harris as Verussa Bloodstone, Kirk R. Thatcher as Jovan, Eugenie Bondurant as Azarel, Leonardo Nam as Liorn, Daniel J. Watts as Barasso, and more.
