Fractured Online will be relaunching into Early Access on Steam next month, hitting the platform on November 8th. The launch comes as the Dynamight Studios team states that the company has «barely any budget left,» with the members working unpaid for months.
Fractured Online has had a messy history this past year, from being brought down after parting ways with publisher Gamigo, to working on bringing the MMO back to Steam with half the original team working on the game. Dynamight has run multiple playtests and updated the MMO experience throughout the year in preparation for next month's Steam launch, which it states it hopes will bring the studio back from the brink.
«We’ve had to rebuild a large chunk of our backend, go self-published again, and improve the game in almost every aspect – all with half the team and barely any budget left (yes, we’ve all been working unpaid for months now).»
The Dynamight team thanked fans for its continued support over the year, stating that it's with that support that they have been able to continue.
«We managed to keep going on thanks to your support and the positive feedback on the direction of Fractured Online, hoping that once it’s back on Steam, Dynamight Studios will be back on its feet.»
Those who have bought the game directly from Dynamight can continue to play from the official launcher, while Steam players will be asked to connect their Fractured Online accounts with their Steam IDs. There won't be a need to migrate their account over anymore using the web migration tool that has been live the past year, with the new process handling that once the MMO has been launched.
