If all things go accordingly, we will be seeing the Galaxy Watch 7 in the second half of next year, and while we don't have a lot of information on what Samsung might be planning, a recent rumor suggested that there could be a variant that will go head to head with the Apple Watch Ultra.
Today's news is a bit different, however. It appears that Samsung will be using its own 3nm Exynos wearable chipset for the upcoming Galaxy Watch 7, and while this might not mean much, in the first place, the good news is that Samsung has shown confidence in its ability to produce a good chipset.
The company has been working on 3nm production since last year, and even though the production started later than TSMC, recent reports have suggested that there are improvements in yield and cost competitiveness. This means that the Galaxy Watch 7 coming out next year will have the 3nm Exynos chipset, and we are looking forward to seeing how the South Korean tech giant will bring all the new improvements to its mobile platforms.
Since we are still some time away from the Galaxy Watch 7 and Samsung's new alleged 3nm Exynos chipset for wearables, it is going to be interesting to see more development on the latest project. As far as the new smartwatches are concerned, I am really hoping they are worthy competitors to everything that the Apple Watch stands for because it is about time we see some good competition in the wearable space.
Do you think Samsung's confidence in its 3nm fabrication process is going to be good for the company and all the subsequent products that will come out because of it? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
