Immortals of Aveum to add new endgame content, new game+, and more this month
thesixthaxis.comImmortals of Aveum will be getting the Echollector Update on November 16th, 2023 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Alongside the update there will be a free trial version of the game on consoles, with PC owners getting the same deal a little later on in the month.
So what is in the update? Check this lot out.
The pack brings a new endgame objective for players who want more lore and new content to play through once they’ve reached the later chapters. The events of the Everwar left the Path weak, scattering chunks of the consciouscape across Aveum and creating corrupted Shatterfanes – portals to new, undiscovered areas. Jak must rid Aveum of these Shatterfanes and put a stop to whatever malevolent forces are siphoning away the Path’s power in a new boss fight. The Shatterfanes will automatically be available upon reaching Glaivegate, giving you the chance to take on this new challenge.
Grand Magnus difficulty is what you might expect, a super hard difficulty level for the game which will be playable in NG+. Talking of which, theNew Game Plus details are as follows
Aran give a score of 7/10 in our review. “Immortals of Aveum is the epitome of a good game,” he said. “The characters are well-acted and the world design is fantastic. The story though feels too safe and there’s no real wow moment. While the combat is fun too, you’ll have seen the majority of enemy types quite early on, and combat does become repetitive.”
