It’s been a while since we heard from Fntastic about The Day Before after a series of unfortunate events that led to the game being delisted from Steam. In a recent Discord post, the community team teased the next and final gameplay trailer that will drop ahead of the game’s launch.
The Day Before was once the most wishlisted game on Steam before a naming dispute had the game removed from the platform. Since that time, the developers at Fntastic have stated that they are fighting torestore the game to its “most wishlisted” status, but questions still remain if The Day Before will return, as it hasn't been restored as of this article, and if so, whether it will keep the original name they set out to use.
Back in August Mytona Fntastic Ltd, just coming off the poor reception of their spa gameplay footage, filed for a trademark for Dayworld. While the developers haven’t gone so far as to announce any name changes, there have been many questions as to what state the game is in, and whether the team will actually launch on the November 10th release date that Fntastic set out for themselves.
Originally, the game was set to be released in 2022, and the developers have stated several times that public testing would eventually be on the way. Now, with nearly 12 days left until release, we’re promised a “Final Trailer” on Wednesday November 1st.
The last several trailers that have depicted actual gameplay have hadmixed reactions from fans, citing an underwhelming world, poor movement animations, and the lack of any challenging content shown.
