The Challenge USA: Alyssa Lopez’s Big Brother Past With Cookout Explained
On the premiere of The Challenge: USA, Alyssa Lopez revealed that she wants revenge on The Cookout alliance from Big Brother 23, and fans should know the backstory behind her feelings. During the first episode of The Challenge: USA, Shannon St. Clair from Love Island USA told Alyssa that before she joined the show, she had heard through the grapevine that there was «a little Big Brother drama.» Alyssa explained The Cookout's story to Shannon, stating that there was an alliance on Big Brother 23 which included The Challenge: USA players Azäh Awasum, Tiffany Mitchell, Kyland Young, and Xavier Prather. Hannah Chaddha and Derek Frazier were the other two members. Alyssa told Shannon that the alliance led to Xavier, who is also known as «X,» winning the game. She said that she and the other houseguests «had no idea they were working together. So for 65 days X was my best friend, but he was never working with me.»
In her The Challenge: USA diary room session, Alyssa said that she and Derek Xiao, who is also competing on The Challenge: USA, «were pawns in The Cookout's game.» Alyssa admitted that she is seeking vengeance, saying,«And honestly, what I'm excited about is getting my revenge on the whole alliance.» Unaware of Alyssa's feelings, in his own diary room session, Xavier said that Alyssa was his closest ally from the Big Brother group, and someone that he knows will have his back. Alyssa then told Shannon, «We're all still really close cause we respected the game play.» However, she admitted that she will have trouble trusting The Cookout members during The Challenge: USA.
