While power is important, having characters whose status complements one another can be far more impactful than one strong character. Additionally, you need to consider which Identities have the best E.G.O.s available, influencing which banner you pull when you have the resources.
There are seven statuses that can be applied by various characters in: Bleed, Burn, Rupture, Poise, Charge, Sinking, and Tremor. Each of these effects works a little differently and, therefore, works best with different characters. Unfortunately, building a whole team around a status doesn't necessarily mean that you'll be able to clear any fight with it. For example, even though some of the best Identities right now use the Charge status, their synergy with one another is so low that it's just not worth truly committing to.
