Marvel Studios has the perfect actor to play Wolverine in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Amidst rumors that a new Wolverine (not Hugh Jackman) would debut alongside Patrick Stewart's Professor Xavier, fan casting for one actor in particular to play Weapon X have reemerged on social media. While many would likely see the casting of an already established actor as very surprising, it would be no more surprising than when Hugh Jackman himself was cast as Wolverine just over 20 years ago in the first X-Men film.
Doctor Strange 2 will be a multiversal adventure that will also see Stephen Strange being punished for his "desecration of reality," his manipulations of the multiverse being frowned upon which began in Spider-Man: No Way Home when a botched spell brought forth villains from other universes and threatened to destroy reality itself. However, the latest trailer sees Strange arrested and brought before a tribunal which has been teased to be the MCU's version of the Illuminati. This includes the voice of Patrick Stewart's Professor X being heard among their number, suggesting that they should Strange "the truth." However, rumors have surfaced that this will not be the same Xavier from the X-Men universe fans are familiar with. Instead, Doctor Strange 2's Xavier will likely be a variant of Professor X.
