Indie game Temtem, developed by Crema and published by Humble Games, has been busy lately with numerous developments in the works. The most notable of these is the launch of Temtem: Showdown on Steam, a free multiplayer battle simulator that allows players to jump right into battling in Temtem without the monster catching aspects of the main game.
Temtem: Showdown is designed to provide pure, no-frills Temtem battling action. Released on June 26, 2023 as a free to play title, the game has been well-received, with 70% of user reviews being positive. Players can build their teams in seconds and engage in ranked matches with players from all over the world. The game does not require any leveling or taming, making it accessible and fast-paced for those that don’t have the time for a full-fledged MMORPG experience. It also offers the opportunity to participate in community-run tournaments and the official Temtem esports circuit, TemCS, which provides numerous prizes for the winners.
In addition to the launch of Temtem: Showdown, the original Temtem is currently on sale on Steam as part of the Summer Steam sale, with a 33% discount. This massively multiplayer creature-collection adventure game has expanded since it’s launch in 2022 where you can, battle other tamers, customize your house, and explore the dynamic, growing online world.
