Shift Up surprised some reviewers of Stellar Blade by releasing its New Game Plus patch early. With PS5 players having access to the feature at launch, what exactly does it offer besides carrying over upgrades and currency? PlayStation Blog breaks it down, and there’s a lot in store.
Eve gets 34 new outfits, while Adam, Lily and the drone also get some new cosmetics. You earn these by revisiting shops and re-opening chests throughout the world. New Game Plus also allows further leveling of Eve’s weapon, Tumbler, Beta Core and Body Core, with excess Core items sold for currency to purchase new outfits.
Four new Beta Skills and five new Drone Skills await alongside eight new Skills for enhancing your existing Beta and Burst options. Some new Skills include Infinite Slash, Infinite Pierce (which enhances Quadruplet) and Infinite Breaker (an enhancement for Shield Breaker).
Players can also unlock Mk2 enhancements for Eve’s gear and Exospine, providing options like enhanced shield damage and converting damage taken into Beta Energy for skills. Finally, enemies aren’t just more challenging but have new positions, potentially catching players off-guard. It’s unknown whether any new bosses await, though.
Stellar Blade is out on April 26th for PS5. Check out the launch trailer and our review.
