Starfield: Shattered Space Animated Short Showcases the Fate of Dazra’s Scaled Citadel
Bethesda’s first paid expansion for Starfield, Shattered Space, launches next week. It takes players to Va’ruun’kai, the homeworld of the House of Va’ruun, after an experiment gone wrong, which sees Vortex creatures crossing over into our realm. A new Settled Systems animated short showcases the catastrophe that hit the Scaled Citadel, setting up the expansion’s events. Check it out below.
The Scaled Citadel is the seat of power for Dazra’s government, with Va’ruun’s leader, Anasko Va’ruun, seemingly providing a sermon. Suddenly, a strange energy field emerges, swallowing everyone within the citadel. A mother manages to get her son out but is trapped and suddenly disappears. The others trapped inside may have suffered the same fate, though their whereabouts are unknown.
As other factions vie for control of Dazra, it remains to be seen if the player can rescue Anasko and restore some order. Starfield: Shattered Space goes live on September 30th for Xbox Series X/S and PC. Check out our feature for everything you should know before playing.
