Starfield's First Expansion, Shattered Space, is Now Live, Watch the Launch Trailer
A launch trailer for Starfield: Shattered Space, the first DLC for Bethesda’s latest RPG, dropped alongside the DLC’s release this week.
Shattered Space is one of at least two DLC expansions planned for Bethesda’s sci-fi space RPG. This first expansion puts the spotlight on House Va’ruun, a faction that was only touched on in the base game’s campaign. Players will travel to the home planet of Va’ruun’kai and will find themselves caught in the chaos of a power vacuum resulting from the catastrophic destruction of Dazra, the Va’ruun capital.
Unlike the base game, Shattered Space is a wholly handcrafted, self contained experience that will take place entirely on the Va’ruun homeworld.
Last month, Bethesda released a nine minute deep dive video going through what players can expect to find in the expansion.
Starfield: Shattered Space is now live on the PC and Xbox Series X|S consoles. Players who own the Digital Premium Edition of Starfield will automatically receive the expansion with their purchase.
Players who only own the base game can opt to upgrade to the Digital Premium Edition for $35, netting themselves the expansion as well as the Constellation Skin Pack, digital art book and other goodies. The expansion can also be purchased separately for $30.
