Harvest Hollow is now available for RuneScape players to have some Halloween fun. The event sees the Five Horsemen return, the new event hub decorated and, of course, activities to do and rewards to earn. Plus, there's a new free charity frog outfit.
The quest hub is decorated with pumpkins, tentacles, candles, and more seasonal goodies, but the Horsemen need some help. Choose one whose team you want to join– Death, Famine, Frank, Pestilence, or War, and get started by taking on the event quest, Field of Screams, to spread the Halloween spirit around Gielinor. Once you have a suitable costume on.
The RuneScape team shows off all of the festivities in a new dev diary onAll of the features and how they put it together. Along with the possible loot you can add to your collection. Naturally, there are outfits. One for each of the Horsemen, as well as pets, gear, new boss pet skins, Reaper masks, and other new items.
There are several themed Skilling activities, from archaeology to grave robbing, and the Maize Maze. The latter features spooky mobs trying to take you down, Agility shortcuts, and three seasonal versions of familiar bosses within the overall maze. Each week, one boss will rotate into the central boss. Keep taking on the maze in order to get some exclusive boss drops. Each week, one team will get recognition and prizes, but everyone gets some kind of rewards for their efforts. The seasonal activities will let you earn XP and loot, including event currency, spooky tokens, that you can trade for new and returning rewards.
Harvest Hollow will stick around through November 4th. The team has a stream scheduled for October 17th to discuss how they put together this year's all-new Halloween event.
RuneScape is also offering a free frog outfit, made in conjunction with a girls' school for International Women's Day. Now, it's available for free, with charity donation option available if you'd like to help.
