In retro news, I'm getting my Charizard to light a 26-candle birthday cake for Pokémon Red and Blue. These came out right when I started a job in gaming retail. Vividly, I recall picking up a loose cartridge and uttering the fateful words, "Oh, this is that game all of Japan seems to be hooked on...but why?" The next week is an 8-bit blur of me almost getting fired for not serving customers because I had my eyes locked on a Game Boy or my nose buried in the Official Guide. This morning, I was beyond stoked to find that my Blue battery still functions. So here, let me show you my Pokemans...
