Yesterday, I had some spooky sales on games perfect for Halloween plays. Today, it seems 2K has raided its back catalog for some horrifically good discounts of their own. Not sure if I'd call the BioShock series scary. But I would call them plenty disturbing and bucket list essential. So hook them into your veins via an EVE hypo, stat!
In retro news, I'm celebrating the 21st birthday of *inhales deeply* Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3. I remember this as arguably the best version of SMB3, with a proto-QR code mechanic whose usage was as convoluted as Nintendo's naming conventions. Using a link cable, connect a second GBA with an e-Reader plugged into it. Then, using one of 40+ specially printed cards, you unlock exclusive levels, demos, and basically "amiibo" yourself in-game power-ups, like the Cape Feather from Super Mario World (!!!). Mercifully, the Switch Online version just bundles all those goodies in, no fuss.
