Starfield Fan Designs Neat Ship Based on Fallout's Vault-Tec

One dedicated Starfield player has managed to put together an impressive-looking custom ship inspired by the Vault-Tec Corporation. Aside from serving as a showcase of their stellar design skills, the unique Starfield spacecraft has also reminded a number of fans of some long-forgotten Fallout lore.

While Bethesda's 2023 RPG doesn't require players to construct any vessels to complete its lengthy campaign, those who do engage with its shipbuilding mechanics are likely to find them to be fairly robust and conducive to experimentation. Reddit user RecentAd4030 can attest to that quality, having already spent months designing dozens of immensely creative spacecraft, such as a Starfield ship that looks like the Energy Sword from Halo.

One of their most recent engineering feats is a vessel inspired by the Vault-Tec Corporation. The ship boasts an eye-catching, multi-hull frame adorned in the blue-and-yellow color palette prevalent throughout the Fallout franchise. Although its creator did not share a comprehensive parts list used to realize this design, it would appear that their Vault-Tec vessel primarily uses a combination of Stroud-Eklund and Deimos modules.

The screenshots of this unique vessel recently hit the front page of the r/Starfield subreddit, eliciting praise from the fandom. The ship has also reminded some players of a forgotten piece of auxiliary Fallout lore which never quite managed to reach canon status. Namely, Interplay's original plan for Fallout 3, code-named Van Buren, was to partially explore Vault-Tec's endgame, which was to assist the Enclave in building one or more colony ships that would be used to find another habitable planet, thus ensuring humanity's survival following the destruction of Earth.
