The physical version of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will seemingly require a download on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S in order to play.
This news comes by way of a Reddit thread (via VGC) from a user who shared an image of the game's box art for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. On the cover, «download required» can be seen in the bottom left, indicating that players who buy the physical edition will still need to be connected to the internet, at least at first, to install the rest of the game.

Now Playing: Star Wars Jedi: Survivor — Official Story Trailer
This hasn't been officially confirmed, but given Jedi: Survivor's massive PC install size of around 155GB, an additional download would certainly make sense since Blu-ray discs can only store a limited amount of data.
Reddit users in the comments of the aforementioned thread began discussing game preservation, as a required download could render the physical edition useless eventually. Once servers go offline, it may be impossible to play certain games that require downloads, even for physical editions.
Regardless of whether a download is required for the physical edition, it's unknown how large the install size will be.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will launch for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on April 28, 2023.
