Jeff Trammell, who serves as head writer and executive producer, shared details during the Marvel Animation panel at Comic-Con, while Marvel Studios' head of visual development Ryan Meinerding showed off the new Spider-Man suit designed for the series. Freshman Year takes place before the events of Captain America: Civil War, where the MCU introduced Spider-Man.
