Warning! Spoilers for Gold Goblin by Marvel Comics
The Green Goblin is about to get a significant makeover, as the longtime Spider-Man villain is about to become a hero, as Norman Osborn transforms into the Gold Goblin in a newly announced limited series. Gold Goblin will see Osborn try to «stay on the straight and narrow» as he tries to leave his evil Goblin persona behind him. But is that even possible for the longtime Marvel Comics villain?
Norman Osborn has long been haunted by his Green Goblin persona, as he gained it after exposure to a dangerous serum and chemicals that gave him super powers but drove him to insanity. Famously, the Green Goblin rides a glider and throws explosive jack-o-lanterns as the villain has become one of the top Spider-Man foes, sparring with the hero frequently. Norman Osborn isn't the only hero to dawn the Green Goblin moniker, as his son Harry Osborn famously took on the mantle after his father, while Bart Hamilton and Phil Urich have also donned the role in the pages of Marvel Comics. Now, Norman is going gold and becoming Marvel's new Gold Goblin in his own limited series.
