The Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic fanbase has been dealt a bunch of blows in recent months. Not only do we have no idea how far the KOTOR remake is in development, having swapped studios after higher-ups weren't happy with the work so far, but the recent Switch port of KOTOR 2 has also been ditched. We're definitely not going to see an Old Republic renaissance anytime soon.
But that doesn't mean that the fans have gone anywhere, as one is proving over on Reddit right now. For the past few weeks, Blender artist RavenProton has been sharing moments and cutscenes from the first KOTOR game in Lego, and the results are fantastic. Through RavenProton's art, we get a glimpse at what a Lego Star Wars game set in the Old Republic timeline could look like, and fans are loving it.

On Reddit, RavenProton has given us a look at multiple screengrabs and animations from this reimagined KOTOR. In the replies, some fans ask her to work this project into a mod somehow, with many eager to play a Lego overhaul of the original KOTOR. It would fill the void the official remake is leaving, at the very least.
Previously, the artist has also shown off her take on different KOTOR characters in Lego, such as Bastilia, Revan, Carth, and even the full Jedi council. The images show some of the key moments from KOTOR, as RavenProton aims to recreate the narrative in a short film. Totally in Lego, of course.
It looks like work on the short film is going nicely, so it's worth keeping an eye on any developments shared in the game's subreddit. KOTOR has a very lively modding scene too, so it's possible someone could find a way to make this work in the game.
