Developer FromSoftware has announced its action RPG Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice has now sold through over 10 million copies. This figure includes physical and digital sales data across all platforms.
On its website (translated via Google), the studio expresses its «sincere gratitude to everyone who played this work» in a short statement on the milestone.
FromSoftware had its formula for action RPGs nailed down, but with Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, it took a big swing to the left. The resulting game has some stark differences from the likes of Dark Souls and Bloodborne, but it's brilliant in its own ways, focusing on precision parries with a singular character. We called it a «fiercely challenging, yet highly compelling» action title that's «wonderfully rewarding to master» in our review.
10 million sales for Sekiro puts it among the developer's bestselling games. Nothing can touch Elden Ring, which surpassed the 20 million mark back in February, but as far as we can work out, Sekiro is in third place behind Dark Souls III.
Anyway, are you among the 10 million who bought Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice? What do you think of the game? Tell us in the comments section below.
