An especially bitter cold has swept through the snow-capped mountaintops of the Fractured Peaks. The wind pierces through the region, carrying with it the ravenous wail of a bizarre beast rumored to dwell in the frost-laden hinterland. Nobody has ever dared lay eyes on the source of this piercing terror, but perhaps you have ample warmth in your heart to track down and slay your way through the Midwinter Blight, wanderer.
From December 12, 10 a.m.–January 2, 10 a.m. PST players on the Seasonal Realm in World Tier I or above can sink their sword into frostbitten demons by heading over to the Midwinter Square in Kyovashad and speaking with Gileon, the bard. After hearing rumors about spiteful dangers lurking in the snow and the advanced cold sapping the morale of Kyovashad’s citizens, Gileon seeks to reignite the holiday spirit in the townsfolk the only way he knows how—with a celebration!
Even in Sanctuary, festivities require a proper venue, and Gileon has set you off on the right path. There’s just one problem—the Midwinter Square begins without decorations. It will be up to you to reinvigorate the square with that special holiday essence (and warmth) by upgrading it to its full potential. This can be done by trudging into the Fractured Peaks and eviscerating pale blue Blightfiends for their Blighted Fragments, destroying gory jumbles of human viscera known as Frigid Husks to recover Lost Heirlooms, and putting an end to the Blightfiends’ own gruesome celebration—the Blighted Revelry.
This local event is not for the faint of heart or stomach. The Blightfiends have taken time to revel in their own handiwork by erecting totems to honor their ruthless savagery. Punish the Blightfiends for defiling the Fractured Peaks
