The Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire release date has been shifted once again by Warner Bros. and Legendary Entertainment, although now fans won’t have to wait until April to watch it.
The Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire release date is now set for March 29, 2024. This sees the monster movie move up from its previous date of April 12, 2024. It was originally set to come out on March 15, 2024, so it’s been shifted back and is now closer to the original date. Directed by Adam Wingard, the movie will star Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry, Kaylee Hottle, and Daniel Stevens.
“This latest entry follows up the explosive showdown of Godzilla vs. Kong with an all-new cinematic adventure, pitting the almighty Kong and the fearsome Godzilla against a colossal undiscovered threat hidden within our world, challenging their very existence – and our own,” reads the movie’s synopsis. “The epic new film will delve further into the histories of these Titans, their origins, and the mysteries of Skull Island and beyond, while uncovering the mythic battle that helped forge these extraordinary beings and tied them to humankind forever.”
Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire is the sequel to 2021’s Godzilla vs. Kong, which had the two titans clash with one another. It will be the latest movie in the MonsterVerse and is produced by Mary Parent, Alex Garcia, Eric McLeod, Brian Rogers, Thomas Tull, and Jon Jashni.
