Developer Volition has announced that the first major expansion for Saints Row—The Heist and The Hazardous—will be released on May 9 alongside a free update adding the Sunshine Springs district to the game.
The Heist and The Hazardous was originally unveiled back in March as part of a content roadmap Volition had provided for Saints Row. The expansion, which will be part of the game’s Expansion Pass, will feature new campaign missions, vehicles, weapons, and cosmetics.
Alongside the expansion release, Sunshine Springs will be the first of the free districts being added to Saints Row, with more being slated for later in the year. The update will also bring with it Selfie Mode, along with improvements to the game’s combat.
The next major expansion for Saints Row, Doc Ketchum’s Murder Circus, is scheduled for a July release, and will bring with it a new solo game mode. August will see the release of a third expansion, which currently doesn’t have a name.
Saints Row is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. For more details on the game, check out our review.
