Saints Row clearly didn’t land the way many had hoped it would, and on both critical and commercial fronts, the game has performed below expectations for Embracer Group. That said, developer Volition is sticking to its plans for the open world title’s post-launch support, and amidst that, it looks like the developer is also ready to bring the game to Steam.
Since its launch in August last year, Saints Row has, of course, been available on PC exclusive via the Epic Games Store. Recently, however, the SteamDB page (which has existed since 2017) of Project Athena was renamed to Saints Row, suggesting that the game could be headed to Valve’s platform soon. Presumably, it has a timed exclusivity window that lasts about a year.
Saints Row is available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Its first expansion is due out on May 9, while more content updates are scheduled for the next couple of months as well.
