An insider has shared that one of the best fighting game franchises, Soulcalibur, might be coming to the Xbox Game Pass service in the future. Microsoft's Xbox Game Pass has been a widely used and praised service, as consistently good games have been added to it in regular intervals. While games do eventually leave the service after a certain amount of time, there's also acclaimed hits that have been a part of the service. This includes AAA games from Bandai Namco, Sega, Capcom, and others of the like being added and giving them a wider audience.

Soulcalibur is one of Bandai Namco's core fighting game franchises, with the first Soulcalibur game having an impressive Sega Dreamcast debut. From there, the series would be ported to other main consoles, with Xbox's first exposure to the fighting game franchise being Soulcalibur 2 on the original Xbox, with special exclusive guest character Spawn. After Soulcalibur 4, the franchise has appeared on the Xbox lineup for its mainline entries, even getting an HD port of the original game on the Xbox 360. The latest rumors about Soulcalibur indicate that it will be coming to the Xbox Game Pass at some point.
