Naughty Dog has confirmed that it is working on a new Factions experience, with rumors persisting since The Last of Us 2's launch about what form it may take. It was at first assumed that Factions would be released as an update for The Last of Us 2, but as more time has passed since the game's launch, the new narrative is that Factions will be a standalone experience.
