Warning: Contains Obi-Wan Kenobi episode 1 & 2 SPOILERS
Obi-Wan Kenobi director Deborah Chow teases future Star Wars cameos in the franchise's latest Disney+ series. Set 10 years after the fall of the Republic in Star Wars: Episode III — Revenge of the Sith, the new show finds Kenobi (Ewan McGregor) living in exile on Tatooine as he watches and protects a young Luke Skywalker from afar. After Princess Leia (Vivien Lyra Blair) is kidnapped by mercenaries hired by the Inquisitor Reva, Leia's adoptive father, Bail Organa (Jimmy Smits), calls on Obi-Wan as his only hope to get her back.
Chow has previously explained that, due to the series taking place only 10 years after Revenge of the Sith, the show's strongest Star Wars connection would be to the prequel trilogy. Characters from those films have already played significant roles in Obi-Wan Kenobi episodes 1 & 2. Smits returned as Bail Organa, a character that appeared in Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith, while Joel Edgerton also reprised his role as Luke's Uncle Owen, a character he played in all three prequels.
