Set to hit Netflix on June 3, Interceptor is a new action-thriller movie written and directed by Matthew Reilly, with Chris Hemsworth serving as an executive producer. After unfair circumstances force Captain JJ Collins (Elsa Pataky, Fast & Furious) from her job at the Pentagon, a former US military officer (Luke Bracey, Hacksaw Ridge) invades the missile interceptor station that Collins is tasked to defend.
With the military world being largely dominated by men, Pataky's portrayal of JJ is particularly impactful. Despite everything she endures at their hands, the fate of the institution and the country rests solely on her shoulders. Confound and outnumbered, will Collins manage to save humanity?

And then I discovered interceptor missiles and SBX-1 and Fort Greely and that was much more interesting.
Then I decided the military is a very masculine world, so I'll make the hero a female captain who's had her career derailed. And then on the worst day of her life, she's going to have to save the country and save the institution
