Jane Foster the Mighty Thor was recently added to Marvel's Avengers, but fans have dismissed the new playable hero as a simple clone of the original Thor. The Goddess of Thunder has become a popular part of the Marvel Comics pantheon since her first introduction back in 2014. Marvel's Avengers added Jane Foster Thor today, June 28, but fans have already expressed disappointment at the thunderous new Avenger.
Since its launch back in 2020, developer Crystal Dynamics has continuously updated Marvel's Avengers and its roster of Earth's Mightiest Heroes. Within its first year the game introduced Kate Bishop, Hawkeye and Black Panther as entirely new heroes along with new storylines and locations. While Kate Bishop and Clint Barton both share similar skillsets, and the title of Hawkeye,Marvel's Avengers made both heroes distinct by giving them different traversal mechanics, arrow types and skill trees. Still, the announcement of Jane Foster made fans worried that the heroine would be a simple reskin of the original Thor Odinson. While Marvel's Avengers outfits for Jane Foster Thor help her stand out from her male counterpart, their abilities may be too similar for many players.
