Natalie Portman makes surprising comments about Jane Foster's MCU future after Thor: Love and Thunder. The Oscar-winning actress makes her return to the franchise in the latest Thor sequel, appearing as the Mighty Thor. Keeping in line with the source material, Jane assumes her superhero persona after a cancer diagnosis, in the hopes the power of Mjölnir could help cure her. In a tragic twist, Jane's condition actually worsens every time she uses the hammer, but she feels compelled to continue serving as the Mighty Thor so she can help others.
In Thor: Love and Thunder's third act, Jane makes a self-sacrificial play, becoming Mighty Thor one last time to aid Thor in his mission to rescue the Asgardian children. After she dies in Thor's arms, the Love and Thunder post-credits scene reveals Jane went to Valhalla, the Norse afterlife paradise heroes go to after dying in battle. On the surface, this appeared to be a worthy sendoff for the character, but Portman seems open to the idea of another return.

Speaking with LA Times, Portman discussed her possible MCU future. Despite Jane's death, she thinks «anything is possible.» Check out her comments in the space below:

There is precedent in Marvel Comics for Jane to return amongst the living, so it will be interesting to see if the movies opt to adapt one of those storylines down the line.
