Cowboy Thor Duels A Gun-Slinging Mephisto To Save Marvel's Multiverse
The Avengers are heading on a journey throughout time, as Thor will trade in his usual ensemble for a cowboy hat and an Old West look, as the hero and Mjolnir take on a gun-slinging version of Mephisto. In a new preview for Avengers #59 by Marvel Comics, Thor confronts Mephisto as the superteam gets ready to encounter History's Mightiest Heroes.
The Avengers currently are dealing with some of the most dangerous threats they've ever faced, as an army of Mephistos from the Multiverse has formed together to try to control every reality. Mephisto also assembled the Multiversal Masters of Evil, a team consisting of some of the most dangerous killers from across space and time, who are hellbent on ruling the Multiverse. To stop Mephisto, The Avengers will go on a journey through time and meet History's Mightiest Heroes, as a new preview shows Thor (and his cowboy hat) dueling with a new version of Marvel's devil.

In the first look at Avengers #59 by Marvel Comics, Thor (in a cowboy hat, possibly a variant of the hero) faces off against an Old West version of Mephisto, as the two seem to be in the middle of a duel. But, the universe the God of Thunder and the Avengers ended up in isn't a typical small town but is one overcome by alien-like bugs, who are devouring it whole. The preview also teases the Avengers crossing paths with two of History's Mightiest Heroes but doesn't mention who they could be.
