Avengers Officially Confirms the One Hero Mephisto Can Never Defeat

The Council of Red is attempting to control Marvel's Multiverse, but in every reality, there's one Avenger that even Mephisto can't defeat: Jane Foster. In Avengers #56 by Marvel Comics, three Mephistos try to trap Jane Foster inside an illusion, but when she teams up with a variant of herself as Thor, they manage to take down the villains. However, as the Mephistos are defeated, they reveal that Jane Foster is one Avengers hero they've never managed to break.
The Avengers are facing off against Mephisto and one of their most dangerous threats ever, as the fiery villain from Earth-616 has assembled the Multiversal Masters of Evil. The team, composed of some of the deadliest super villains from across the Multiverse, isn't even the only problem Mephisto has conjured up as Marvel's devil has formed the Council of Red. The group of hundreds of Mephisto variants from different realities has come together to defeat the Avengers once and for all. In the group's latest attack against Jane Foster, however, they reveal breaking the hero in any reality is next to impossible.
