Popular Soulslike RPG, Remnant 2, recently received a new hotfix that resolves a handful of bugs affecting the title's gameplay and a few other areas. Moreover, the update deals with the issues players have been facing with certain in-game gear and items.
With this update, Remnant 2 developer Gunfire Games aims to address a series of player grievances. Notably, this is the first patch to roll out since the game received a big crossplay update on February 29.
In an official blog announcement, Remnant 2 developers shared a list of bug fixes, ranging from a buggy archetypes to glitchy weapons. First off, the performance issue causing frame stuttering in multiplayer matches when using certain weapons has now been fixed. Gunfire Games also added that the flickering problem with the UI that some players were facing when the FSR Frame Generation was enabled is now gone. Additionally, the patch notes revealed that the players with the Handler archetype will no longer face the issue where their dog sidekick Very Good Boy would proc infinite bleed on enemies.
A key issue with the Corrupted Savior gun, where its mod power wouldn’t drain correctly at times, has been fixed. The Corrupted Nebula handgun has also received fixes that address its faulty Corroded status, Damage Over Time, and Nano-Bots. Besides that, the buggy accuracy of Impact Cannon at shorter ranges has also been dealt with. Issues with mutators, namely Tainted Blade and Shielded Strike have also been patched. Lastly, fixes to incorrect UI have been included in the latest update.
While Remnant: From the Ashes had quality gameplay but never became as popular as it deserved, its sequel has achieved both. In fact, Remnant 2 outshined its predecessor as soon as it started shipping, selling over a million copies in the first week and reaching a concurrent player count on Steam almost twice the size of the original.
