PS5’s November 2023 Was Sony’s Biggest November for PlayStation Sales Ever
PS5's November 2023 was Sony's biggest November for PlayStation sales to date, Sony Interactive Entertainment's Head of Global Business has said.
As reported earlier today, Sony managed to sell over 50 million PS5 consoles since launching three years ago. In addition to reaching this important milestone, it was revealed that Sony's current-gen console is tracking in on the time-aligned sales of the PS4. Outgoing PlayStation Boss Jim Ryan said today: “Achieving this PS5 sales milestone is a testament to the unwavering support of the global PlayStation community and their passion for the incredible experiences created by the talented developers from PlayStation Studios and our partners."
As revealed by Sony Interactive Entertainment's Head of Global Business, Eric Lempel, in an article from The Financial Times, demand for the PS5 has been huge this year, and Sony believes that the PS5 will indeed surpass the PS4's time-aligned sales soon. "Demand for the [PS5] going into this year was huge . . . Momentum is strong now and it’s continuing.”
As also revealed by Lempel, the PS5's November 2023 was Sony's biggest November for PlayStation sales in the brand's history. "Nonetheless, Lempel said the latest Black Friday sales period helped make it the biggest November for PlayStation sales, when measured by both units and revenues, in Sony’s almost 30-year history in gaming", the article reads.
