Sony has updated the Last Chance to Play section of its PlayStation Plus service, revealing several PS5 and PS4 titles leaving the subscription service, including many titles. This is not unheard of with subscriptions such as Xbox Game Pass or PlayStation Plus, but this clear-out does seem to be larger than most, with 25 titles being removed.
As reported by Push Square, these titles will be removed from the PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Premium subscriptions on May 21, 2024. The complete list is as follows:

While many of these are predominantly indie titles, there are several titles, which is surprising considering how many players associate the long-running series with Sony's consoles with recent releases such as and being exclusive to the platform at launch. and are also widely considered two of the best games in the series by both fans and critics, making their removal come as quite a blow to the PS Plus subscribers.
The version of being removed is not the same as the recent remakes but is the 2015 remaster of the classic PlayStation title. However, with and making changes to the story, it was still nice for players to easily have the option to go back and play the original on modern consoles should they choose.
Of course, these titles aren't being completely removed from digital storefronts, so those who wish to play them can still purchase them from the PlayStation Store. PlayStation hasn't announced which titles will be added to PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium following this mass removal, but considering the popularity of the titles being removed, hopefully, there will be something substantial to make up for it.
