The schedule for June 12-18 features some interesting additions, including Ender’s Game and 2022’s Spoiler Alert.
On Monday, June 12, the Amazon-owned streamer will add Spoiler Alert to its available content. Directed by Michael Showalter, the movie adapts the Spoiler Alert: The Hero Dies memoir by Michael Ausiello. The story follows the 14-year-long relationship between entertainment journalist Michael (Jim Parsons) and his photographer partner, Kit (Ben Aldridge). The cast includes Bill Irwin, Jeffery Self, and Sally Field, among others. In addition to starring, Parsons produced with Jordana Mollick, Todd Spiewak, and Alison Mo Massey.
Starting next Monday, Prime Video subscribers can also watch Ender’s Game. Based on the popular novel by Orson Scott Card, the sci-fi movie follows the clash between humanity and an alien race called Formics. Asa Butterfield portrays the protagonist Andrew “Ender” Wiggin, with Harrison Ford, Ben Kingsley, Viola Davis, Hailee Steinfeld, and Abigail Breslin, also part of the cast. Even though there was much curiosity about the project, the Gavin Hood-directed movie was received with lukewarm reviews and didn’t pass the box office test.
On the same day, the streamer will also add the Blumhouse Television-produced There’s Something Wrong With The Children horror movie. Directed by Roxanne Benjamin from a screenplay written by T.J. Cimfel and Dave White, the film stars Alisha Wainwright, Zach Gilford, Amanda Crew, Carlos Santos, and more.
