A new combo of cards from ’s expansion could be a viable yet troublesome replacement for the Boss’s Orders card, a staple in many types of decks. is an upcoming set, arriving exclusively in Japan on October 18. The expansion, however, will be combined with cards from the set for the release of in early November. The main theme for is the Terarium from ’s DLC.
As such, several cards related to the location as well as the contents of the expansion, such as Stellar Pokémon, will continue to appear in the set. With ’s release on the horizon, The Pokémon Company has been revealing several cards that will compose the expansion. This includes Pikachu ex, Hydreigon ex, and Togekiss, all of which are among the must-have cards from , either for their collectible value or their gameplay value. Now, a few new cards from the expansion have been revealed, and they have a superb gameplay effect.
Three new cards for were revealed, as seen on. Espurr and Meowstic compose the two Pokémon cards, whereas Relaxing Teaser is a Trainer card – and they are intertwined. Meowstic’s Ability is called Tempting Tail and it allows players, once per turn, to discard a Relaxing Teaser card from their hand to switch one of the opponent’s Benched Pokémon to the Active Spot. This is, essentially, the same effect made available through the Boss’s Orders card in, though instead of playing Boss’s Orders, players will discard the Relaxing Teaser Trainer card.
When played and not discarded via Meowstic’s Ability, Relaxing Teaser puts one Energy card attached to an opponent’s Pokémon back into their hand.
With no reprint of Boss’s Orders foreseen on the horizon, the main fear right now is that the vital Trainer card will eventually leave rotation and be banned from Standard if a reprint is not issued in an upcoming set. This would significantly impact a lot of decks due to how important it is in controlling opponents’ actions. The effect, however, seems like it will not be discarded completely.
