Zenless Zone Zero 1.3, Virtual Revenge, Brings New Modes, Optimizations, and Mystery on November 6th

Zenless Zone Zero’s next big update, version 1.3, “Virtual Revenge” will be out on November 6th. 

HoYoverse’s urban fantasy ARPG will add new characters in the next main story chapter. The story willcontinue the story in the Outer Ring. Section 6 (AKA H.S.O.S)  will be testing new tech to potentially combat Hollow disasters, and you’ll work with this frontline unit to help deputy chief Tsukishiro Yanagi on a special Hollow Investigative Association mission. 

There are several new areas on the way that include HAND Headquarters, H.S.O.S. 6 Office, and San-Z STUDIO at Lumina Square to explore, adding new places to the New Eridu you have access to. Working with Yanagi, you'll also meet additional Section 6 members, including leader Hoshimi Miyabi. 

Yanagi is an S-level Electric-Anomaly Agent that is one of the new playable characters. She wields a Naginata and her Ex Special attack triggers Polarity Disorder for massive damage to enemies. Another S-level character is Lighter, also called The Champion of the Sons of Calydon. He’s a Fire-Stun Agent who you’ll also get to join to celebrate the Settlement Days event at the Outer Ring. The update also adds two new A-level Bangboo Baddieboo and Knightboo.

In addition to the main story, there are two special episodes of Yanagi and Lighter to play through. You’ll get to know Yanagi better and  control Lighter in a special side-scrolling mode to discover. 

To add some variety to the game, there are also two new modes, the roguelike-inspired The Mystery of Arpeggio Fault and opportunities to practice and refine your skills in Simulated Battle Trial. The Mystery of Arpeggio Fault Features five chapters with random environments and challenges to explore. by completing challenges through these chapters you can NAB some new rewards.

There are also optimizations and improvements on the way in the update. The Compendium gets improvements. Random Play also opens the second floor for more decorating options.
