The Galarian forms of Articuno, Moltres, and Zapdos debuted with the release of the Crown Tundra expansion of Pokemon Sword and Shield, and they are some of the most sought-after Pokemon in Pokemon GO.
While most of the backlash in the Pokemon GO community originates due to microtransactions, the catch rates and shiny odds are two of the other controversial topics that surface from time to time. For instance, Niantic had organized a Pokemon GO event themed around starters for its seventh anniversary, but fans were barely able to catch many of them due to the high escape rates. While there are several mechanics in place to improve the odds, such as using Berries, that didn't prove to be of much benefit to the players. Now, it seems like the complaints are back once again, albeit for a different set of Pokemon this time around.
In a new post on the Pokemon GO subreddit, user TheRockingChar highlights how frustratingly difficult it is to get the Galarian Birds in Pokemon GO. The user emphasizes that the Galarian Birds should either be hard to encounter or hard to catch, but the fact that both are in effect is quite annoying.
Currently, the only way of encountering the Galarian Birds is by using the Daily Adventure Incense, but that's not guaranteed at all and it is a super rare spawn. However, as the user highlights, finding a Galarian Bird is just a part of the battle won, as the escape rate is quite high despite getting an excellent Curveball throw and using Berries in Pokemon GO. The player also highlights a way to solve this, suggesting that their behavior could be aligned more with the mainline games. Precisely, the user states that their spawn rate should be increased, but their evasiveness could be modified in a way that they run away from one PokeStop to another nearby one.
