The original Overwatch featured all kinds of unique skins for players to unlock for the game's various heroes, but it largely stayed away from crossover skins. That has changed with Overwatch 2, which has embraced crossover skins as part of the game's live-service model.

Overwatch 2 crossovers so far have seen new skins added based on popular anime like One Punch Man and Cowboy Bebop, as well as skins based on the K-Pop group LE SSERAFIM. The «Nuka-Girl Mercy» skin concept imagines a new outfit for Mercy, as well as a staff themed after the Fallout universe soda brand Nuka-Cola.
